filia.die frauenstiftung ist eine Gemeinschaftsstfitung, die auf Wachsen und Solidarität setzt. Die Stiftung versteht sich als Tochter der Frauenbewegung.

Die Stiftung wurde 2001 von neun Gründerinnen mit einem Startkapital von 260 000 € ins Leben gerufen. Aktuell beträgt das Stiftungskapital 15,7 Millionen €; der Kreis der Stifterinnen, die in ganz Deutschland leben, ist auf 58 (Stand Feb. 2012) angewachsen.
Mit rund 1,5 Millionen € konnten bislang über 250 Projekte gefördert werden.
