A DVD-publication edited my María José Belbel and Rosa Reitsamer, funded by Arteleku (Diputación de Gipuzkoa, Donostia/San Sebastian, Basque Country)

Popular music expresses our deepest wishes and political flights, our imaginary bright sides of life. It is a token of love, of post/adolescent wishes, of possible sexualities and genders. It's functions as a field of research and as a ground for feminist and anti-racist networking.

Teaser Image:

Feminism, politics and culture magazine.

Subtext is written and managed entirely by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis.

We're here to provide an alternative to mainstream women's glossies - a space that's challenging, supportive and engaging. There'll be plenty of much needed feminist critique too.

Subtext is a place where women can voice their opinions, sound off and promote the great things that they're doing or that they respect in others. Men are welcome to join the fun too.

"Uplift" E-Zine

Digital Archives:
Teaser Image:

Uplift is a non profit making, independent women’s online magazine which acts as a place to showcase many women’s voices.

Uplift exists as an alternative to all the women’s magazines out there that put down and patronise. We want to show women that they’re not alone if they find features such as ‘the starvation tips of top models’ mind numbing. Uplift encourages intelligent engagement with the pop culture that surrounds us and offers women a platform to have their say, share ideas and get creative. All opinions expressed within Uplift are those of the individual authors.

"The F-Word" E-Zine

Digital Archives:

This webzine exists to help encourage a new sense of community among UK feminists, and to show the doubters that feminism still exists here, today, now - and is as relevant to the lives of the younger generation as it was to those in the 60s and 70s. The webzine was founded by, and is mainly written by younger feminists, those of us born during or after the feminism of the 60s and 70s. Although we encourage contributions from feminists of all ages, we are particularly keen to encourage and showcase the new voices of younger feminists, our peers. To this end, contributions from new writers of all ages, and young women and girls are particularly welcomed and encouraged.
