FEL: Feministisch en Links

FEL is a grassroots feminist action and education/discussion group based in the Belgian city Gent. In 2009 FEL grew out of FAB (Feministische ActieBende), a feminist collective that doesn't exist anymore. FEL means Feministisch En Links: feminist and left.

FEL is a group of enthusiastic feminists who work on several themes. We take action (for example Take Back The Night), write editorial letters, give workshops and lectures and we have a reading group.

Art photography group show, March, London

As part of V Day and International womens day celebrations, 6 female artists who are interested in different facets of gender in the New Players Theatre Bar. Come and see some interesting and new feminist art. A percentage of work sold will go to V Day charities.

Reclaim The Night - East Midlands

Reclaim The Night marches give women a voice and a chance to reclaim the streets at night on a safe and empowering event. We aim to put the issue of our safety on the agenda for this night and every day.

This is going to be a hugely inspirational event being held in Nottingham but we want it to represent the entire of the East Midlands. This will be a rally through the centre of Nottingham and then there will be speakers and acts (TBC) afterwards.

"radiOrakel"

radiOrakel was started in 1982 when authorities allowed for local radio stations to operate. Money was then collected at a women’s cultural festival to start up the world’s first women’s radio station. On 16th October 1982 radiOrakel was founded. Rita Westvik was the first editor in chief. In the early days the station’s headquarters were at Karsgata 5 but moved together with AKKS (Aksjon Kvinne Kultur Senter- Women’s Cultural Action Centre) to the loft at the Blitz house at Pilestredet.
