Candies and Whims Translation/Publication Project - Educational Discussions

Candies and Whims Translation/Publication Project shoots on translation and publication of anarchist/ feminist/ gender/ queer/ mental health and radical texts/ zines/ publications from English language into Filipino language with the aim of publicizing it and distributing it freely into the public or local community, through a language they can grasps, understand and feel connected with, giving them access over readings that cannot be found nor offered by the standard commercial educational system, promoting self-education towards liberation, resistance and freedom.

Candies and Whims Interview Project is a collection of interviews of people from the Philippines about their experiences/insights/ideas about being a wimmin (by choice or as role-enforcement of the society), wimmin struggle/resistance and Anarcha-Feminism in the Philippines Context.

These includes wimmin, myn, queer and people with different gender preferences as correspondents.

Tűsarok - Az autonóm nők lapja ("Spike heels - The autonomous women's page") is an Hungarian feminist web-magazine founded in 2004; before that a printed version of Tüsarok was distributed in the Hungarian liberal weekly magazine Magyar Narancs (14 issues in 2003/04); emphasis on politics, culture, media, family/motherhood, equal opportunities, violence, dicrimination, women in EU, minorities (Roma) etc. Until 05/2010 the e-zine was updated quite every day/two days but since then only gets unregularly updated. Nevertheless, until the beginning of 2013 there was a very lively forum and the website also offered a database to search for links to organisations, data on women's issues, legislation, etc. At the moment the website doesn't work (still existing???)

Between 2000 and 2011 NIKK magasin was published 3 times a year, two issues in Nordic languages, one issue in English and all focused on a specific theme like violence, prostitution, power, religion, minorities, family politics, climate change etc. It presented new and current themes and perspectives on gender research and gender equality politics in the Nordic countries. Subscription were free and all issues still can be read and also get downloaded as pdf-files.
