Mädchenmannschaft.net (http://maedchenmannschaft.net/) wurde von Susanne Klingner, Meredith Haaf und Barbara Streidl, den Autorinnen des Buches „Wir Alphamädchen. Tea is a super creative activist from Ljubljana, Slovenia. She’s been involved in media projects for over a decade now — from zines and community radio, satirical newspapers and festivals, to blogs and freelance writing (not to mention her collaborative feminist sci-fi writing workshops.

Red caught up with her at the Civil Media Conference to hear about her influences, how feminist generations can get caught up in ‘queer’, and how writing can be a form of activism – despite what the anarchist boys might think.

Founded and edited by Gabrijela Ivanov of the Expanse of Gender and Media Culture ‘Common Zone’ civil society organization, this women-led e-zine offers an entertaining and informative webportal, documenting women artists and Central and Eastern European feminist culture.

Red talks to Gabrijela about grassroots media, alternative economies, and the need for feminists to embrace technological competency.

I’m an ordinary, boring, 50-something, white, middle-class transsexual woman; based in London and trying to build a life that feels more like mine and less like one I was camping out in until something better came along.
