Chroma: A Queer Literary Journal (2004-2010)

Chroma was founded in 2004 by writer Shaun Levin to create a platform for international queer writing in the UK.

Published twice a year, the journal promoted edgy, lyrical, and challenging prose, poetry and artwork by lesbian, gay, bi and trans writers and artists from around the world.

In July 2010 the last issue (#11) was published.

This year's edition of the City of Women Festival http://www.cityofwomen.org/ will address the topic Between Past & Future. The conceptual background relates to the eponymous book by Hannah Arendt who, back in the 1960s, argued that the condition of human existence, robbed of the traditional, transcendental, religious and moral standards employed to bridge the abyss between past and future, lost direction.

Evie, please could you shortly introduce yourself?
My name is Evie. I have been a feminist for several years and an antiracist, gender and transgender activist before that as well. I've studied computer science before, and right now I'm studying psychology. I'm a member of several feminist groups in Belgium; I'm writing for a magazine and doing activist work in Ghent and I started the De Tweede Sekse feminist blog http://tweedesekse.wordpress.com/ at the end of 2008.
