Publication is aimed at women in Scotland and sympathetic to men. Hopes to promote debate on all issues concerning women in Scotland.

Feminist Review is a peer reviewed, interdisciplinary journal setting new agendas for feminism. Feminist Review invites critical reflection on the relationship between materiality and representation, theory and practice, subjectivity and communities, contemporary and historical formations. The FR Collective is committed to exploring gender in its multiple forms and interrelationships.

"Set up in August '78, monthly paper. Circulation 250-500. Distribution: around pubs, door to door on estates, and in the local wholefood shop. Self financing n/l, costs: ₤8 an issue. 5 women work on the N/L, and the collective is open, and women are welcome to their monthly meetings. Aimed at any woman, and lets women know what's going on. Material from the collective plus other women, and they sometimes reprint an article.

"Set up in Jan '78 because they were pissed off with middle class crap. Appears 6 times a year, and their circulation is higher than any middle class feminist would expect. Distributed: subs. A different group does the newsletter each time, so it rotates. Takes about 50 hours to produce one. It is easy for women to get involved, also since they are demystifying the publication process. It is aimed at working class women's liberationinists, and provides contact, info, interest, impetus, support.

"Set up in summer '76 to express the collective's political views. They hope that the newsletter will come out every 2 months. Circulation: 500, and it is available to everyone. Exists through donations from members and others and all the collective (Brixton Black Women's Group) work on the paper. Closed collective. Aim to policise black women. Invite contributions from women only. Marxist-leninist perspective".

"Set up in Oct.Nov '77/8 [?] - to act as newsletter for ROW (Rights of women) members, forum for discussion on women and the law. Bi-monthly publication, circulation 4-500 copies. Sold via subs, at meetings, to all ROW members incl. men. Subs plus occassional fund raising pay for the n/l. About 4-5 women work on the Bulletin, and one of them is a paid 4 day week worker. The N/L is interested in dealing with the intersection of feminism and legal concerns. Most of the content is supplied by ROW workers, and occasionally they pick out buts of news about legal cases etc.

"Set up in '75 to inform members of publications, meetings, and research. Bi-monthly n/l, circulation 1,000. Distributed by subs to men as well. Costs: ₤100 for one issue, self financing. 2 women work on the paper part time, and the collective is open to all women subscribers. The collective is unpaid, but only the paid workers do the N/L. The n/l is for all those interested in feminist research, and informs people of research, publications, and puts researchers in touch with each other. Editorial policy: so long as its feminist and relevant, they will print it, and they occassionally accept entries from men e.g. relevant book review.

"Set up in April '77, when it was made clear that there was demand to know more about women's studies, work in progress, ideas for the future. Circulation: 1,000-1,250. Distribution: subs, sold at few bookshops, through the Worker's Educational Association, meetings, etc. Available to men. Costs: ₤80 for an average issue. Not self-financing- get a grant from the EOC, donations, subs etc. Only 2 women do most of the production of the n/l, and it takes about 240 hours approx. for one issue. One full time unpaid worker, but they are trying to negotiate for payment.

"Set up in '76 after a conference on women in E Europe, to keep all those interested in touch. Has had 2 issues out so far, and the 3rd will be in autumn. Circulation: 100 copies, distributed via post. Costs: ₤25 for an average issue. Women work on this n/l and the collective is open. The n/l is aimed at the WLM and academics, to provide a fairly detailed and up to date info on women in E Europe. Editorial policy: the collective decides the content, so far nothing has been excluded. They accept those entries from men that are sympathetic to feminism.

"Set up in '73 to meet the need for co-ordination among interested women. Appears 3 times a year; circulation 850 (last issue). Distribution: subs, bookshops, through PDC, sold at conferences. Self-financing. 5-7 women work on the paper, and the collective is open to new members. Aimed at: teachers, students, those interested in education, and the n/l provides topics for discussion etc. Invite contributions but want more...Editorial policy: materials must be relevant to education and anti/sexist. It is the newsletter of one of the Demands of WLM."
