Fempower (E-zine)

Fempower is the periodical of WAVE - Women Against Violence Europe which (now) gets published twice a year as pdf-file (which can get downloaded for free) and in an English and French version (for the years 2011/2012 only in English). WAVE is based in Vienna/Austria and a network of European women's non-governmental organisations working in the field of combating violence against women and children (women's refuges, counselling centres, SOS hotlines/helplines, organisations focusing on prevention and training, etc.); emphasis on violence against women and children, refugee and migrant women, domestic violence, violence and poverty, women's rights, reproductive rights, international perspectives, empowerment, etc.

Statement:
The WAVE team co-ordinates the publication of Fempower which is the network’s information periodical. Written by and for experts of VAW in a variety of different countries it is a comprehensive communication and information channel within the network.
Fempower was launched at the beginning of 2001 as part of a DAPHNE project. The editing staff tries to publish two issues a year in english and french.
