"Ladyfest Fort Wayne was founded in 2007, and is an event to celebrate women in music and all forms of art. While the 2007 event is a start we are hoping that with more volunteers this event will grow each year. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ladyfest Fort Wayne is based on the worldwide DIY Ladyfest movement.

We work to foster feminism as part of everyday experience.

We realize that feminism is a concept that is forever being redefined and holds different meanings for different people.

We recognize that gender is not binary and that is exists separately from sex.

We believe that art is a powerful form of resistance.

We continue to struggle against many forms of oppression, such as: race, class, sexuality, gender, dis/ability, age, size and religion.

We believe in acting as allies where we can.

We value the importance of community.

"Ladyfest Toronto is a four-day arts, culture and music festival. We are a non-profit, grassroots, do-it-yourself collective who seek to promote urban feminism. We work from a framework that is pro-feminist, trans-inclusive, pro-diversity and anti-oppressive. We seek to build community among Toronto's feminist businesses, artists, activists and academic community. We believe that art is a powerful form of resistance and hope to incite dialogue about contemporary feminist issues in our city.

"LadyFest is a community based, non-profit, global, political music and arts festival for women and people supportive of gender equality. In addition to readings/lectures, workshops and parties, LadyFest features : music, sound, film, dance, theater, visual art, performances, media, literature, food, and fashion. Developed from the "do it yourself" ethic of the RIOT GRRL movement and "inclusive feminist philosophy", LadyFest events are run by volunteers and proceeds are often donated to non-profit groups.

ASPEKT is a feminist educational and publishing organisation. It was founded in 1993 (the official registration July 26, 1993) as an interest association of women, who agreed it was time to take the discourse on equality and democracy seriously and apply it to the lived realities of the people of feminine gender in Slovakia. Already in its second decade ,Aspekt does so though its (subversive and pioneering) publishing and educational activities.

"Ladyfest is an international festival which has taken place in over fifty cities since 2000 and, in 2009, Oxford will be holding in its second ever festival! In Trinity term last year, we had an amazing day with lots of wonderful female performers, and raised loads of money for Oxford Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre; this year we want the festival to be even bigger and better.

Lesbo Magazine
Political, cultural and social magazine, the successor of fanzine Lesbozine (1987-1988) and bulletin Pandora (1993-1996). It has been published since 1997 as a non profitable, free publication. Lesbo magazine aims at sharpening the critical and intellectual blades and at damage-control. It promotes stories, politics and views, arts and attitudes, practices and theories about the resistance and radical fights against homophobia and any other exclusive orientations. It breaks identity consolidations wherever they limit the diversity as an existential right; therefore it opens the issues, which are usually closed down by the social consensus: non-monogamy; underground; trans-gender and trans-sexuality; gender technology; pornography as activism; political manifestations; the catholic church and lesbianism; lesbian motherhood; lesbian trade unions; gay and lesbian studies; lesbian motifs in art; lesbians in cyber space; closet and scenes.

As such it participates in wider civil, political, social and cultural efforts aiming at breaking the massive walls of civil apathy, political ignorance, ideological terror and mind exploitation.
