Elles Tournent - An international feminist film festival in Brussels

Teaser Image:

The only Brussels International film festival dedicated entirely to films made by women! The first one happened in 2008, now it's time for the second edition

"We’ve chosen 62 films that will take you to five continents. They explore everything from the exalted to the mundane, from war to working life, social pressure to passion, and the complexities of love. The diversity of films reaffirms that wherever they are, women are boundless in their vision, their interests and their creativity.

An Interview with Judith (from Austria) at the Red Dawns festival, Ljubljana

Topic:
LGBT and queer issues
Teaser Image:

Please introduce yourself....

J: I’m Judith and I am 21 years old. At the moment I live in Vienna, Austria. I’m doing feminist things for some years. The last big thing I organised was the queer-feminist days in Vienna. I think what is important to me at the moment is that my activism is feminist, but it is not this ‘we are women and we are proud to be women and we are all the same’ and stuff like that. At the moment some anti-racist stuff is important for me and feminism with queer politics also.

The Small Science Collective (Zine library)

An online zine library of small science zines (downloadable as pdfs)! These can be used or produced yourself with kids and youth! I think it would be a great workshop to make a science zine with girls, let me know if you do one. Right now they are having the Zine-a-thon Contest 2009, so join in, make a science zine! The zines will be read by a panel of scientists, artists, and students from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Field Museum of Natural History.
